Specialist Projects

If you have a specialist project whether it be bodywork or paint work please give us a call, we may be able to help or advise. To give you an idea we were asked to fit gull wing doors to a Ford GT. We removed both doors, wings, hinges and associated fittings, we had to modify these for clearance of both wing backs and ‘A’ pillar extensions. Then we had to prep and paint the modified area’s, fit new hinges and lifting rams. We had to realign and adjust these to ensure clearance of the closing doors and to make sure that the doors closed with equal aperture gaps. We had to pressurise the rams and set the doors to a neutral weight level to ensure easy opening and closing.
